Remember I said my specialty is meats, veggies, sauces, soups and BBQ. Basically everything but pies and cakes lol. I've never really spent much time practicing baking. lol
I know the principles and all but I am gonna have to practice a few recipes and techniques before I'm satisfied with my results.
However even if we end up hiring a baker for our confections I am a firm believer that to truly appreciate and manage something, one must be able and ready to do it themselves.
So this is completely from scratch: a butter recipe with a Strawberry flavored American buttercream Icing, White American buttercream decorations (and I use the term "decoration" very loosely in this case) lol
Strawberry filling "Poor Homely little Cake" lol (came out a little dense and lots of work to do on decorating but the flavor was on point and it was easy to sculpt)
